Mornings can be hectic in any household – lost shoes, missing homework and breakfast mishaps. But one Australian mum was in for a shock when she realised she’d accidentally let her five-year-old daughter pack alcohol in her lunchbox.
The anonymous Queensland mum took to social media to describe how her little girl had ended up taking a frozen vodka pouch to school.
The story, which appeared on the Facebook page of Australian chat show host, Elaine Crowley, explains how the mum had asked her daughter to go to the freezer and put a “frozen juice pouch in her lunchbox”.
Forgetting about the other kinds of pouches she had in the freezer, the mum had no idea what had happened until she received a phone call from her child’s teacher.
It’s an easy mistake for a youngster to make; the Smirnoff vodka pouches look almost identical to similar juice pouches on the market.
Luckily, the school didn’t take the mix up too seriously.
The mum said: “I apologised for not sending enough for the teachers and they just laughed, thankfully!”
Has your child ever taken something to school that’s made you cringe?
