How do you apply for Herts Big Weekend tickets?

The only rules if you want to apply for tickets are: you must be over 18 years old, and you must live in Hertfordshire.

To get started, simply browse through the various deals on the Herts Big Weekend website and choose which tickets you would like. There are 52 attractions on offer. Deals range from tickets to Go Ape Wendover, to an overnight stay for two at Holiday Inn London Elstree.

Attractions that are great for families with younger children include:

– Artshed, Ware

– Foxholes Farm

– Hatfield Park Farm

– Knebworth House, Gardens & Park

– Lee Valley Park Farms

– Paradise Wildlife Park & Zoological Society of Hertfordshire

– Rye-Assic Adventure Park

– Ventura Wildlife’s Zoological Gardens

You’ll need to create an account to apply, but then you are free enter the ballot for as many attractions as you wish. Just make sure you read the details for each attraction. Some are offering just one ticket per application, while others have family tickets up for grabs.

When does the ballot close?

The application for tickets closes on Friday 3rd March, so make sure you’ve applied for your top attractions by then.

If your application is successful – hurrah! – a member of the Herts Big Weekend team will contact you shortly after that date.

The tickets have a limited shelf-life and will need to be used on either Sat 1 April or Sun 2 April (see individual listings for details).
