Pumpkin Festival at Willows Activity Farm, St Albans, Herts, AL4 0PF
Thursday 25th October to Sunday 4th November 2018
Pick your FREE pumpkin from the Willows Pumpkin Patch and enjoy a magical day of fun! Each child is invited to dress up and pick their own pumpkin to take home or carve in our Carving Cavern during our half-term Pumpkin Festival. Our spellbinding programme includes arts and crafts, Pumpkin Olympics and both the Pumpkin Show and Magic-Ween Show with Samtastic. Tricks, treats and prizes for best, plus there are all your Willows favourites including meeting Peter Rabbit and friends.

You can get creative making spooky stuff – Creating your very own witches hat and miniature broomstick to take home with you – and if your broomstick doesn’t get you off the ground try making a rocket instead! Children and their adults can get into the spooky theme by dressing up in our dress-up area, and take a selfie whilst you’re at it.

Follow the Halloween themed trail around the estate and head into the visitor centre to try lots of spooky crafts over the October half term. £3 per child, plus normal admission price.

Explore the Haunted Hall at Forty Hall, Enfield, EN2 9HA

Dare you creep inside Forty Hall this Halloween? Look out for ghouls, spiders and cobwebs, rats and mice… Cover your ears – there’ll be some chilling sounds! Pick up a children’s activity trail map on reception for £1 to help you explore the Hall and find your way out again! Advanced booking recommended.

Pumpkin Patch at Burston Garden Centre, St Albans, Herts, AL2 2DS
Wednesday 24th to Wednesday 31st October 2018, 11.00am-3.00pm
The first Burston Garden Centre Pumpkin Patch. There will be a Witches and Monster hunt around the garden centre to keep the kids amused. There will also be running a spooky Facebook competition! Give your best cheesy pumpkin smiles at the photo booth, upload them, like the facebook site and they’ll have their witches and monsters choose the best one. There’ll be a spooky prize for the winning photo!

Pumpkin Trail and Treats at Knebworth House, Knebworth, Herts SG3 6PY
23rd, 30th, 31st October & 1st November 2018, 12.00pm-4.00pm (last admission 2.00pm)
Wear Halloween fancy dress (yes, adults too!) to get in the spirit for the pumpkin activities and trail. Visit the Garden Terrace Tea Room at 3:00 PM for the judging of the daily competition. Children are encouraged to bring along a pumpkin that they have pre-decorated – there is a daily prize for the best. Other pumpkin activities will include storytelling; the “Pumpkin Bag Tree” where participants can claim an extra reward if they guess the correct number of pumpkins hanging in the tree; and fun competitions. Adults £3.50, children (age guideline 3-10) £6.95. 

Halloween Spectacular at Chiltern Open Air Museum, Chalfont St Giles, HP8 4AB

Halloween FunFest at Rye-Assic Adventure Park, Hoddesdon, EN11 0EH
Wednesday 31st October 2018
Enjoy the indoor Dinodrome, join wandering Halloween spooky treasure trails, and create communal, child-friendly art projects. The indoor-outdoor sessions (2.5hrs!) are packed with ghoulish activities from start to finish. Limited spaces, booking required. Online prices are £12.50 per child (aged 1-11 years), adults and under 1s FREE (ENTRY ONLY).

HalloweenFest 2018 at Hatfield Town Centre, White Lion Square, Hatfield
Saturday 27th October 2018, 11.00am-3.00pm
HalloweenFest is a fun day out for families and children. There will be local charities and businesses selling items and putting on fun Haloween themed activities to raise money for their chosen charity. On the day there will also be fun Halloween entertainment, circus skills, children’s art activities, best-dressed competition, prizes to be won and lots more. Make sure you go dressed in your best Halloween themed costume and you could be in with a chance of winning a fun prize! This event is free to enter.

Halloween Party in Old Town, Hemel Hempstead
Sunday 28th October 2018, from 3.30pm
Soak up the atmosphere as the Old Town hosts its annual spooky street party. The high street will be transformed with ghost train and scary fairground rides (open from 3.30pm), Baby Rave (starts 3.30pm), fiendishly good food, street entertainment and frighteningly fun activities for all the family. The event finishes with a spectacular free firework display at 7.30pm in Gadebridge Park.
